Onion-Bacon Rolls (Lasinuoci [la shee-no-I-chay) Laurie & Steve
12 ounces bacon
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 teaspoon dill weed
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 pound frozen bread dough, thawed
poppy seed
fennel seed
sesame seed
Cook bacon until crisp, cool and crumble.
Save 1 tablespoon bacon drippings and use to cook onion, peppers, and seasonings.
Cool and stir in bacon.
Divide dough into 30 portions. Roll portion into ball, then into a 3-inch circle.
Place scant tablespoon of filling in middle of circle and seal.
Put seam side down on greased baking sheet, brush with milk, and sprinkle
with seeds. (May be frozen at this point.)
Bake in a 375-degree oven until golden, approximately 15-20 minutes.
Serve warm.
