Monkey Bread Den & Donna
       Noreen & Marion
This must be good if two families sent in this recipe! Noreen says this looks
neat and has a cake like texture.
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, melted and divided
4 tablespoons sugar
3 & 2/3 cups flour
1 package dry yeast
Combine milk, 1/2 cup butter, sugar and salt in a pan. Heat until butter is
melted.
IMPORTANT! Cool to 110 degrees, then stir in the yeast until dissolved.
Place flour in a large bowl. Make a well in the flour and pour in the liquid
mixture. Stir until well blended.
Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 1/2 hours. Turn dough out
onto a floured board. Roll to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into 3-inch squares.
Dip each square into remaining butter.
Layer squares in a 10-inch tube or Bundt pan. Let rise until doubled in bulk,
about 40 minutes. Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 30 to 40
minutes.
