Grilled Shrimp in Sesame Marinade Laurie & Steve
You may substitute chicken for the shrimp, if desired Just use 4-5 chicken
breasts, cut into pieces. Also note, the chili pepper adds flavor, not heat.
Add Tabasco for heat!
1 tablespoon fresh ginger
2 large garlic cloves
1 small Serrano or jalapeno chili
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/3 cup olive oil
3 to 6 drops Tabasco sauce (optional)
30 large peeled shrimp
Mince the ginger, garlic and Serrano or jalapeno together. A food processor
makes this easy. Add the remaining ingredients and blend.
Marinate the shrimp (or chicken) in the marinade for 30 minutes at room
temperature, or longer in the refrigerator. Put shrimp (or chicken) onto
skewers and grill.
