SnickerDoodles Anita & Warren

1 & 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 & 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, butter, shortening and eggs. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Stir dry mixture into wet mixture. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons sugar with 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Roll dough balls, approximately 1 teaspoonful, into sugar-cinnamon mixture and place 2-inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for approximately 6-8 minutes.
