Plum Port Wine Sorbet Katie & Dorian

All desserts in this house come from Katie! For this recipe, the type of Plums does not impact the flavor, however the quality of the port changes the tartness.

3/4 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 pound ripe red plums, peeled and cut into chunks
1 cup raspberries, plus a few extra for garnish
1/4 cup port wine

In a small saucepan over high heat, bring water and sugar to a boil and cook until sugar is dissolved. Set aside.

In a blender, puree plums, raspberries, wine and sugar mixture. Pour into a shallow dish and freeze for at least 4 hours. Scoop out to serve, and garnish with berries.
