Oven Beef Stew Paul & Paula

Paula found this recipe in one of Min 's books. They really enjoy it.

1 tablespoon flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
3/4 pound beef (block rump), cubed
1 tablespoon oil
1 can tomato soup
1 can water
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
Potatoes
Carrots
Peas
1/4 cup water or red wine (I usually add more)

Mix flour, salt and pepper.
Coat meat cubes in seasoned flour.
Brown cubes in oil.
Add soup, water, onion and basil.
Bake in 375-degree oven for 1 hour.
Add potatoes, carrots and wine.
Bake 1 hour longer, until done.
Add peas last.
