Giant M&M Cookies Tom & Kari

For any cookie recipe I make, I always line cookie sheets with parchment paper. They never stick to the pan, and they just seem to bake so much more evenly. I never bake without it!

1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 & 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups M&M's or other candy-coated chocolate candies

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat sugars, butter, vanilla and eggs in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with a spoon. Stir in flour, salt and baking soda. Stir in candies.

Drop dough by level 1/4-cupfuls or a #16 ice cream/cookie scoop, about 2-inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten dough slightly with fork.

Bake 11-14 minutes or until edges are light brown. Cool 3-4 minutes on cookie sheet, then carefully remove to wire rack.
