Fantasy Fudge Tom & Kari

1 & 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
3 cups sugar
1 5-ounce can evaporated milk
1 12-ounce package semisweet chocolate chips
1 7-ounce jar marshmallow cream
1 cup chopped nuts, optional
1 teaspoon vanilla

Grease a 13x9-inch pan

Mix butter and sugar over medium heat. Bring to a soft boil over medium heat. Stir constantly for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, and vanilla. Stir constantly until melted. Pour into greased 13x9-inch pan. Let cool completely. Cut into squares.
