Chicken and Wild Rice Casserole Elizabeth & Bob|
I call this my “church dish”. I make it every time for potluck dinners and
always come home with an empty dish.
1 small package Uncle Ben’s Wild Rice, cooked
1 pound hot/spicy sausage, browned
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 4-oz. can sliced mushrooms, or sauteed fresh mushrooms
1 & 1/2 pounds boneless chicken breasts, cooked & diced
1/2 package herb stuffing, buttered
Combine first 4 ingredients. Layer 1/2 the mixture in greased 13x9-inch dish.
Cover with diced chicken. Add remaining rice mixture. Top with buttered
stuffing. Bake, covered, in a 350-degree oven for 30 minutes. Uncover and
bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until browned.
