Blueberry-Orange Bread Laurie & Steve

3 cups white flour
3 & 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons grated orange peel
1/2 cup vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, mix dry ingredients thoroughly. Toss in blueberries and stir with hands to coat with flour. In separate bowl, beat egg lightly, then add remaining ingredients. Combine this liquid with flour mixture, stirring just enough to moisten all dry ingredients.

Place in greased 9-inch bread pan and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then turn out onto rack and cool thoroughly before slicing.
