3/4 cup cornmeal
1 & 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup powdered milk
1 large egg
3/4 cup warm water
4 tablespoon (1/2 stick) butter, melted

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and powdered milk in a large bowl. Beat the egg until thick in a small bowl; add the warm water and the butter. Pour into the dry ingredients; mix well. Pour into a greased 8-inch baking pan. Bake for 25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
