Baskin-Robbins Dessert Den & Donna
1 stick butter
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 cup sugar
1 package Jell-O instant chocolate pudding
1 & 1/2 cups milk
1 cup flour
8 ounces cream cheese
1 13 & 1/2-ounce Cool Whip
Bring butter to room temperature. Combine butter, flour and all but 2
tablespoons of the chopped pecans. Mix until the consistency of pie dough.
Press by hand to fit a 10-inch pie pan (glass or metal). Make a ridge around
the top edge. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 25 minutes. Let cool.
Follow package directions for making pudding, except use 1 1/2 cups milk.
Blend cream cheese with sugar. Fold in 1/2 of the Cool Whip. Spread into
cooked, baked shell. Spread pudding over cheese mixture. Spread
remaining Cool Whip on top of pudding, then sprinkle remaining pecans over
top for decoration.
Chill for several hours until firm.
